A revival of traditional textile arts through a culturally grounded and sustainable practices.

Weaving contemporary cultures

We run traditional weaving workshops where artisans learn on looms, design patterns, and pass on generational techniques. We operate natural dye labs, researching and cultivating local dye plants, and teaching eco-dyeing methods. We support design incubation, pairing artisans with designers to co-create modern textiles rooted in Hausa motifs.

We support the rich heritage of Hausa weavingand textiles through hands-on weaving workshops, where artisans (and newcomers) learn traditional loom skills, pattern design, and time-honored techniques passed down through generations. At our natural dye labs, we research and cultivate locally-sourced dye plants (such as indigo), provide dyeing workshops, and develop eco-friendly dye recipes that connect craft to nature. Through design incubation, we partner artisans with designers to co-create contemporary textiles rooted in authentic Hausa motifs, blending heritage with innovation. To sustain artisan livelihoods, we are building a marketplace — both physical and online, that gives weavers direct access to customers. And because craftsmanship goes hand in hand with entrepreneurship, we offer capacity-building and business training, helping textile artisans scale, brand, and professionalize their practice. These efforts collectively revitalize traditional textile arts, open up new economic opportunities in underserved communities, nurture a sustainable textile ecosystem, and elevate the global recognition of Hausa textiles.
